Steward Training - Thursday, 18th June
In order to ensure the success of this year’s Dublin Pride Parade, we need stewards.
We CANNOT use any volunteers who have not been through the training. We appreciate
people with experience in crowd control and those speaking more than one language
or sign language, but we are just as excited to train persons who do not possess
this experience. You are required to remain clean and sober while you are on duty.
Returning volunteers are also required to attend one training session.
Steward training will take place on Thursday, the 18th June in OutHouse
at 7.00pm.
If you have not yet applied, and would like to help out on Pride Day, please apply
via our online form here.

Dates & Theme of the Dublin LGBTQ Pride Festival 2009
Dublin LGBTQ Pride Ltd. is proud to announce that this year's Dublin LGTBQ Pride
Festival will take place from Friday 19 June to Sunday 28 June 2009.
This year's theme "Pride and Prejudice?", celebrates pride in who we are
as LGBTQ people and as a community, whilst questioning our community, society in
general and ourselves on our attitudes and prejudices. The festival should celebrate
diversity and challenge peoples' perceptions of it. Our theme this year will also
formally introduce Dublin Pride's new Arts and Cultural committee to the festival
For 26 years, Dublin Pride has led the annual celebration of gay life in Ireland.
From modest beginnings, we have gone from a one-day event to a full-blown 10-day
festival. This year we have ambitious plans to make Dublin LGBTQ Pride 2009 the
most colourful and best Pride Festival EVER! With a more co-ordinated image, an
expanded arts and cultural content, to the multiplicity of clubs and new club nights,
Dublin’s scene will be alive and rocking for this unique annual festival event.
