Dublin L.G.B.T.Q. Pride Ltd.
Dublin Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered Queer Pride Ltd. (CRO ref 431258) is the
company organising this summer's Dublin Pride festival. The company was established
in November of 2006 for the purposes of organising the Dublin Pride festival. This
formal company took over from a more informal committee in previous years and aims
to regularise and develop the festival in the years to come.
Dublin Pride is a company limited by guarantee run as a not for profit organisation.
We have the confidence and trust of a membership
of approximately 200 general members from amongst Dublin's LGBTQ community. Governance
is provided by a nine-member Board of Directors to give strategic direction, and
to ensure that the mission of the company is carried out in an ethically and financially
responsible manner.
The Festival Committee are the executive who ensure the day-to-day running of the
company, consisting of representatives from the various teams involved in organising the festival. These teams
are manned by approximately 30 active volunteers.
Company Structure
Dublin Pride Ltd. is run by the Festival Committee, made up of members from a number
of different teams.
For this year, there are currently 6 teams:
- Parade
- Post-Parade
- HR
- Finance & Sponsorship
- Events
- Media/PR, Marketing, Design and Communications (Comms)
Each of the above teams elect a chair and vice-chair who then sit on the
Festival Committee together with a designated Health & Safety Officer and an Access Officer.
